The need of the hour is more and more inter disciplinary approach which I am sure will benefit the deserving patients in a much better way than disciplinary basis. I am pleased to learn that young and upcoming restorative(prosthodontics, restorative and periodontics) specialists in science of dentistry are congregated together and established a scientific society.Societie's scientific deliberations, discussions and proceedings along with the programme of research should take the ISPRP in the field of dentistry to greater heights and greater recognition

I am extremely pleased to learn that the Indian Society of Periodontics - Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics has been formed. Globally restorative dentistry basically includes all these three specialties i.e. conservative Dentistry, Periodontics and Prosthodontics. It is a good move that this group has come together for better interaction and exchange of views and ultimately better treatment is delivered to the patients at large. I hope the group will take under its wings a large number of specialists and form a common platform for better growth of all the three specialties

"Dentistry in India has grown rapidly in the last one or two decades. Though there are mushrooming of Dental institutions, we have certain institutions, which can boost of high standards of dental education and they are at par with some of the best institutions in the world. With tremendous progress in dental material science and in dental technology, it possesses great challenge to the clinicians in rendering service to the society.Although our country boosts of a large number of post graduates in various branches of dentistry, and various societies representing each one of them, we lacked a common platform where in specialists from inter related branches could come together for better interaction, learning and understanding.I am extremely happy to know that the Indian Society of Prosthodontic Restorative Periodontics (ISPRP) is taking very step of providing with common platform to promote interdisciplinary dentistry in our country. I am sure with the combined efforts by all the specialties will go on a long way in bringing together clinicians treating complex cases which necessitate multi disciplinary approach for appropriate diagnosis and treatment planning.I wish that ISPSP also would promote educational meetings and interdisciplinary research activities in our country. I wish very best of everything and hope to see that the society will carve a niche in the history of dentistry in India.
Dr. B.H Sripathi Rao, M.D.S Principal, Prof. & H.O.D Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery,Yenepoya Dental College & Hospital. Mangalore.
Rehabilitation, attainment and maintenance of a well functioning masticatory apparatus in an adult would require close involvement of a Prosthodontist, Conservative Dentist / Endodontist and a Periodontist as these three disciplines are very intimately and intricately related. An interdisciplinary approach that integrates the knowledge skill and experience of above three is very essential for drawing a comprehensive treatment plan.
The need for comprehensive treatment plan is far more greater, now with the increase in life expectancy, better health awareness and higher social standards. Further, the expectations and demands of our patients have also increased exponentially owing to rapid strides of progress in the field of material science and technology. As health service providers, it is our obligation to present our patients with total treatment approaches to maximize dental health, function and esthetics.
My dear colleagues, it is time that we specialists communicate, collaborate, cooperate and contribute to the highest standard of dental care service to our patients.
Prof.Dr .Roopa Nadig -Former President FODI
Hearty congratulations for organizing Restorative Society of this region. The changing concept of prevention and conserving naturally available tissues and reestablishing nearly closely imitating structure is the essence of Health Sciences at this juncture.
The overall health of dentition and oral structures are dependent upon supporting structures, status of tooth and rehabitated structure as such. Hence inter relation of these specialties and inter active session will help to clear the doubts and limitations of each specialty. It is commendable to have thought of this area and provide a platform.
I wish all the success in your endeavor and hope you come out with various solutions for the problems we encounter in this branch of science.
Wishing you every success.

I am extremely pleased to know that the Indian Society of Prosthodontics – Restorative – Periodontics (ISPRP) has been formed. The efforts of the younger generations of dental surgeons and their contributions in the development of dentistry in India will go long way in shaping the future of dentistry. The Indian dental practice today indeed is at par with international standards, and dentistry in India has evolved from restoration and extraction of teeth to comprehensive oral health care. I am sure, that with continual efforts of all members of Indian dental fraternity, we can stretch out standards further. The initiative of making multi disciplinary association of Prosthodontics, Conservative & Endodontics and Periodontics will facilitate our goal of comprehensive management of oral health care for all patients. The effort to amalgamate the services of various specialties is a novel idea and will be beneficial to the development of dental science. The activities of the society will provide an ideal platform to the budding dental surgeons to expand their knowledge and to stay abreast with the latest developments in dental sciences.

It is heartening to know that a group of very committed and professionally talented colleagues have come up with an idea of amalgamation of three specialties in dentistry.
With the fast track developments and breakthroughs in various fields of dentistry, we need to keep pace with the growing challenges.
I am sure that this amalgamation will foster better professional relationship among members. I also believe that this association will be useful in helping the members to access comprehensive and qualitative information. The strength of any association lies in its membership strength and as an association; we achieve many things than what an individual can. We come to share a common platform to discuss and solve any professional problems. So we have to work hard to achieve better membership strength. Let me wish the association all the success.
