
Dr. Moni Abraham Kuriakose

Dr. Moni is an internationally renowned head and neck cancer surgeon and is a well known orator. He is presently the director of Cochin Cancer & Research Center, Kochi. He is the Principal Investigator of several research projects focusing on early detection and prevention of oral cancer, including two NIH research grants. He has over 200 peer reviewed publications and is the author of a four volume text book titled `Contemporary Oral Oncology’. He is the editor in chief of the journal “oral cancer”. He has served Indian head and neck cancer association as its past president and is the president elect of International Academy of Oral Oncology.
He completed BDS from MCODS Manipal in 1983, followed by Medical graduation MB ChB in 1992, and FFDRCS (Ireland – 1988), FDSRCS (1988), FRCS Ed (1994) & FRCS (intercollegiate – 1998) from UK. He acquired Advanced Fellowship in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology from US in 1998 and became Diplomate of American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2003.
He has worked as a faculty at the New York University as Consultant in Head and Neck Surgery and Director of Head and Neck Oncology Research Program. He was also a visiting professor at the New York University and the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, New York.
