Dr. Shams Moopen

Dr. Moopen did his BDS in 1981 from GDC Trivandrum. He has Master’s Degrees in Orthodontics (MSc Orth , London) Paediatric Dentistry (MDS Postgraduate Institute, Chandigarh). Since then he had gained many additional qualifications including Fellowship & Membership from all the Royal Colleges, UK. He is in the Specialist List of Orthodontics, General Dental Council, United Kingdom. He was former Professor & Head of Dept of Child Dental Health in Mangalore University, India. He is a member of British Dental association, British Orthodontic Society, European Orthodontic Society, American Association of Orthodontists.
He is the recipient of David Di-Biase Clinical Excellence Award for Outstanding Clinical Excellence in Orthodontics from Royal London Hospital. London and M. Ortho. Clinical Case Award for Outstanding Clinical achievement from British Orthodontic Society.
He has been the associate course director for Diploma in Orthodontics conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Course Director for the M.Clint. Dent. in Orthodontics conducted by the City of London Dental School. He is presently visiting Professor in Orthodontics to City of London Dental School. He has also completed Surgical-Prosthodontic Implantology & Sedation courses from Eastman Dental institute, London. He recetly did a mini-residency programme in Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorders and oro-facial pain under Professor Jeff Okeson at University of Kentucky, USA. Presently he is practicing in United Kingdom and Dubai, UAE
