Adv. Shyam Padman is a corporate lawyer and management consultant practicing at the High Court of Kerala. He had his LLB from the Govt. Law College Calicut, LLM form Calicut University and the post graduation in Medical Law and Ethics (PGDMLE), from the National Law school of India University, Bangalore.
He started practice in 1990, specialising in labour, consumer, cyber and corporate laws, appearing in the different courts in Kerala and the High Courts of various other states in India. He is having offices at Calicut, Cochin and New Delhi. He is the senior partner of M/s. Shyam Padman Associates, Advocates & Legal Consultants. The firm has special reputation in conducting medical negligence and allied cases with the State and National Commission.
He is an Adjunct Professor in Business Law at the School of Management Studies, Vishwajyothi College of Engineering and Technology, Muvattupuzha. He is the Lawyer of Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Indian Dental Association (IDA) for their Professional Protection Schemes, expert legal consultant to the Karnataka State Orthopaedic Association and the Legal Counsel of the Bhavan’s Law College and National Institute of Technology, Kozhikode. He also authors the regular column – ‘Legally yours’ in the dental news paper ‘The Indian Dentist, Research & Review’.
He is a recipient of IDA Kerala State Presidential Award in appreciation of his valuable contribution and support on legal matters for IDA HOPE.
